Abbas, Hiam was born in Nazareth. She has been living in France since 1989. Abbas began her career acting in Palestinian theater groups before taking film roles with directors such as Rashid Masharawi and Michel Khleifi. She has most recently starred in the internationally-renowned Tunisian film Satin Rouge directed by Raja Amari. Bread is the first film she has directed.

Safadi, Akram born in Jerusalem, is a Palestinian photographer living in Jerusalem. In the 80s, he worked as a news cameraman through the course of the first intifada for Reuters and AFP. After attending Birzeit University, he studied film in Italy. Today he also works in film, both experimental and documentary.

Salama, Sherine , originally from Ramallah, was born in Cairo and moved to Australia when she was three years old. Suleiman, Elia was born in Nazareth in 1960. He has lived in New York, the Netherlands and France, as well as in Palestine. Al-Zobaidi, Sobhi was born in Jerusalem in 1961 and grew up in Jalazon refugee camp near Ramallah in the West Bank. In 1986 he received his B.A. from Birzeit University and, received an M.A. in Cinema Studies in 1994 from NYU. In 1996 he returned to the West Bank, where he founded reFugee camp productions, which aims at offering support for local filmmaking.
