Dreams of a Nation works to promote access to Palestinian
films through collaborations with film festivals, organizations
and with our own screenings. The project was launched with
a major festival in New York in January 2003, which offered
a general retrospective of Palestinian filmmaking, as well
as premiering several new films by Palestinian filmmakers.
Our hope
was for Palestinian cinema to travel. Since then, Dreams of
a Nation has worked with other groups and film festivals in
the US and abroad, assisting them with gaining information
about and access to Palestinian films. Below please find links
to the archives of our first film festival, as well as a partial
list of the aforementioned collaborations.

And Dreams
of Nation continues to travel…
As we are always screenings films and working with a myriad
of festivals & organizations internationally on screenings
- we welcome submissions in a rolling, open call format. Our
traveling festival does not have specific dates nor locations
– it always depends on the country we are screening
in and the local organization we are working with. Additionally,
we are often asked to curate Palestinian film sections of
festivals and like to keep our archive and knowledge of Palestinian
cinema fresh... In addition, your film will go into our archive
(currently in New York) which is available for researches
and academics to preview. So please send your work to
Dreams
of a Nation.
